Why a Third Paycheck?
A two-paycheck monthly budget accounts for 24 paychecks a year. A biweekly schedule usually has 26, leaving two months with a third paycheck.
Some calendar years have 27 paydays and three of these months. We count the actual dates for your schedule.
Start with your payday
Enter your most recent scheduled payday and confirm you are paid biweekly.
This year has 27 scheduled paychecks, so there are three months with a third paycheck.
Add paydays to your calendar
Save your paydays to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook.
How to import the downloaded file
- Google Calendar on a computer: Settings → Import & export → select the downloaded file and a destination calendar → Import.
- Apple Calendar on Mac: File → Import → select the downloaded file, then choose a calendar.
- Outlook on the web: Add calendar → Upload from file → select the downloaded file and a calendar → Import.
Each file contains one recurring series for the selected year. To remove it, delete a payday and choose your calendar app’s option for the entire series. Extra paychecks keep their own label within the all-paychecks series.
Previously imported individual events will not be converted or removed by a new download. Remove those old events before importing again. Using a separate calendar named “Paydays” also makes the imported schedule easier to manage.
This is a one-time import for the year shown, including past dates. It will not update automatically. Import one option per schedule; importing overlapping files may create duplicates. “Extra paycheck” marks the third payday in a month; “Regular paycheck” marks the first two. Check your employer’s calendar for holiday adjustments.
